Re: Edge for Simulated Stone Tablets
I am challenged artistically or I would have done that. The tools are available, but I am not competent to use them to the end I desire. Michelangelo was asked how he created the statue of David. He said that it was easy -- get a big stone and remove anything that didn't look like David. With my art...

Edge for Simulated Stone Tablets
I am profoundly challenged artistically or I could do it myself. I can't find a discussion of this searching either, so I am pleading for help. I want to make some simulated stone tablets for the 10 Commandments and the like. I have used spray paint to give the stone appearance, but the edges should...

Re: Toolpath tiling?
I used an index mark on the spoil board for the leading edge of the first tile. After the first tile was finished, moved the piece through. I aligned the index mark with the beginning of the second tile. There may be a better way, but this worked for me.

Re: Coping Crown Molding
I never thought about putting the molding face down -- I was thinking of building a ramp. Your idea is much better! Making the copes on the CNC, and then using a scarf joint to get the required length should make this possible for a homeowner (me). I am thinking of taking a photo to get the outline ...

Coping Crown Molding
I have been putting on installing crown molding in the master bedroom for some time because I need to cope several corners. I don't want to fiddle with a coping saw or an angle grinder or a Dremel tool. I would think that this could be done on my CNC. Has anyone done this? I searched but could find ...

Re: Clamping a piece of burl wood
I recall reading of a universal gripper some years ago. After some dead ends, I finally constructed the proper search terms and found this. Called the universal gripper, instead of being designed to pick up a particular object the device conforms to the object it is grabbing. The gripper, which is a...

Amen to all of the above. Becky is incredibly talented and has so much to share. Unlike Martin, I hear with a pronounced American accent. This is in addition to the above mentioned auditory problems. I would greatly appreciate any ameliorative actions Vectric is able to accomplish.

Re: Laser
I was told that a module is to be released, likely this spring, that will enable lasers specifically with JTech and probably others. I was told the price would likely be about $50.00. For what it's worth.
