Re: *** New *** Easy Box Maker Gadget *** New ***

Looks good. I did notice something missing (No. Flutes). It wasn't there in V1.5 either. Seems like low impact to getting results. Thanks for the update. Andy Have you checked any of the other Easy Gadgets? I have and personally I believe that this has been intentionally left out for the user to ve...

Re: *** New *** Easy Box Maker Gadget *** New ***

Happy to see results whether good or bad! Seeing Results helps us in providing better gadget performance. The Milling Defaults are a starting point which should be fairly close to a usable fit for the box being created. The Gadget User can adjust any of these settings as necessary for the creation ...

Re: *** New *** Easy Box Maker Gadget *** New ***

Here is some pics of my first box. The only changes I made were to material size. Left all of the default tolerances for fingers and dados as installed to get a baseline what I should do next. Tolerances need to be adjusted as they are too tight for my CNC. This worked well. Thanks.

Re: *** New *** Easy Box Maker Gadget *** New ***

All of my spindle speeds (gadget v1.5) are 0 rpm. I checked my DB they are my preferred speeds.

FYI.

Re: *** New *** Easy Box Maker Gadget *** New ***

This look great! In the milling defaults section there are a number of tolerances for clearances etc. There isn't one for cut depth tolerance. correct? If so, my default zero position is the machine bed. So, I don't really need to the additional 20 thou depth added and would like to adjust that. Fut...

Re: Easy Tray Maker Gadget

Jim, See the error below. This happened when I used a dado clearing bit the same size as the dado bit (in error). When I tried to "X" out the clearing bit I get this error. However, I can edit the dado clearing bit tand he gadget creates the tool paths as expected. EasyTrayError.png Thanks, Andy

Re: Experience in Aluminum

https://www.nyccnc.com/super-glue-fixturing/ is a good primer for using super glue. I adapted to my setup since I didn't have a vice to start. I have had good success when cutting aluminium on a mini mill; up to half inch material. My best success with super glue is metal on metal (for blue tape) w...

Re: VCarve Pro Update 10.512 -Update.EXE different on two machines

update.exe does update itself before proceeding with the update. The remainder of the update actually happens through a separate patch file which doesn't The only thing I can think of here is that the update here failed for some reason. There is usually a log file of that part of the process in C:/...

What kind of update are you trying to do? If it's an update from 10 to 10.5 then you need to do a complete new instal of 10.5 you can't use the blue update icon in the top right of the screen

Update Program Error

I received the following error when trying to use the update program. Any ideas as to what might be causing this? Windows is up to date. Fresh reboot was done prior to retry. No other applications were opened.

Thanks

Re: How could I do something like this?

I created the text so it was flat across the top, not following the curve. I used the WAVE tab in one level and the RECTANGLE tab in another level. Along with the new clipping feature this was the result. And this was the result. By adjusting the rectangle tab height you can and increase the height ...
