Re: Double sided tape?.....
I use Golfers tape. Works great it's basically like double sided masking tape. When I'm really concerned about holding power I use good masking tape along with CA glue.

Centering a point offset to the center of another object
I'm attempting to center an offset point of an object in the center of a circle. Is there an easy accurate way of doing this or should it be done by trial and error. In the file you can see the object with cross hairs. The cross hair is what I'm attempting to center into circles. Thanks in advance f...

Re: Engraving issues.
I can see it's stopped at line 2629. I tried to post the file but it's too large. I'm using a licensed version of mach 3. I transfer a usb stick to a computer that only runs mach. I've tried several times. I've made sure the stick was in long enough to save the file.

Engraving issues.
Every time I save this engraving job it doesn't load the last half of the tool path? I've tried restarting the software and creating a new tool path. I'm using the lastest version of vcarve 9. Also if I'm using the quick engrave with a diamond drag can I go back over the top of what is already done ...

Where to Z?
I'm wondering where most people zero their machine. The spoilboard or surface of the workpiece. I've always done workpiece but seems it would be easier to do spoilboard. Also contemplating permanently mounting a Z plate at the end of my machine but don't know how to go about making my machine automa...

Re: Pin cushion
Then, draw lines from the bolt hole centers, tangent to the offset circle.
Can you explain this further?

Re: Pin cushion
Yes, Been down that road before. I just put the pic up to show the shape. Just wasn't sure if there was an easier or more accurate way of drawing the outside vector. I typically draw a square to represent the four mounting holes than snap a larger diameter circle on the four corners of the square an...

Pin cushion
Is there an easy way to draw this shape that I'm missing? Typically I would find mounting hole centers place a larger diameter circle centered in the mounting hole then rubberband the object but it never ends up quite perfect?

Re: Chamfer?'s
Thanks for the tips guys. After discovering the molding toolpath feature in 8.5 I've went a step further than a chamfer but I'm having trouble figuring out why it's not cutting as deep as the profile I've chosen. In the bottom right of my drawing is the profile which is 1.15" deep the model is 1.25"...
