Re: Orientation of a model/component

Used the mirror tool needed head to be right to left text wouldn't comply with the mirror. No text is not a separate component.

Re: Pizza Board

Do as I did use the original pictures as reference then create the design from scratch using Vcarve Pro. Or if you have Aspire.
By doing so you get to use many of the features/tools when designing this. I found it to be a fun project learned a few things along the way.

Finally able to post images of the edge glued birch pizza board design copy from weirdbeard's design. It came out good yet feel it can be tweaked a tad more.

I used a point cutting roundover bit (I think thats what you call them :?) and setup a custom Form tool in Vectric to get the rounded edges Liked your design so much decided to give it a try( hope you don't mind). Very similar to your design 12" pizza, 1...

Re: importing files into cut 2d

What works for me is when importing most metric and larger STL/3D files I use the " /25.4= " (without quotation marks) when sizing the initial import. Adjust the Z measurement to a reasonable size to work with

Re: Newbie in Trouble

Looks like you're on the right track. Suggest you try sealing wood surface first then once dried attempt your carvings you will like the results. Also the better quality of your images/photos the more details that will be picked up in your carvings. When you have time check the gallery and see how o...
