You did it.. These last instructions worked. I finally understand now. I tried it on a couple of different files and it worked every time. I can cut a piece wherever I want by myself now. Dividing a piece into
I have a piece I am trying to cut but it is to long for my machine. The piece is over 40 in long and I can cut 36. Is there a way to cut the piece in two parts and then I could put the two pieces together to use as a pattern to cut out one whole piece manually using a pattern bit? My table is open o...

Question about open vectors
I am trying to cut a profile on outside of the attached file and keep getting message that there are open vectors and I don't know enough to correct them. Would someone please point me in the right direction?

My dwg files are not showing up when I try to import them into Vcarve. I am going to the import button and then clicking on the drawing files in Vcarve but the dwg files do not show up in the directory that they are located. The dxf and pdf files show up. Paul, I have a few questions.. 1) There is an extra outline on your inlay butterfly that is not on the pocket cut. How and why did you draw this line? Do you do this on every inlay? 2) What is the difference in the start depth .2 and flat depth .2 and not just entering .4 in flat depth to start with...
