Re: My first project

David,

How did you add the braille? Love to understand if it was carved or added separately. Thanks Chris

Re: Need some help with tiling.

I never considered that the CNC could be out of square.

I still would like to hear from others who have mastered this.

Need some help with tiling.

I just made my first large piece that took 4 tiles to complete on my CNC. The project was not without issues that were solely related to locating the work piece properly on the spoil board when moving to another tile. The closest I came was to place locating holes 1” in from the X and Y axis on all ...

Re: VCarve text into slightly rounded stock?

I took the route of modeling a design of the handle in Aspire and projecting the text onto the 3d model. I created a profile pass at .003" so I could see exactly where to place the axe on my table. And made a couple test tool paths of the text so I could see that it would line up correctly. It works...

VCarve text into slightly rounded stock?

I need to carve a name into an axe handle which is slightly rounded. Is there a way to set up the tool path so it will carve equal depth at the edges and in the middle?

Re: "X+ out of soft limit"....HELP

Does anyone know if one of the training videos covers this? I attempted to use the vector boundary tool but it made no change, I'm sure it's me.

"X+ out of soft limit"....HELP

I have seen this error on my HHD and figured that my design was too close to the X axis and out of the limit of my CNC' travel. I have it now on a 3D design, I left more than adequate room but the tool path is traveling well beyond my design. Is there any way to set a stop point so the tool path doe...

Re: Help needed with text toolpath.

Yes, that was my thought too.
This design was mocked up with a 1/16" EM as I want the flat surface around the text.

Help needed with text toolpath.

I am trying to make a small sign 8" x 3" with very small text. I'm not sure the proper phrase but the text will remain after a pocket is created around it. My issue is I am new to CNC and Aspire and regardless of what I try for bits I cannot get a clean carving of the text. I am thinking I may need ...

How do I make a "Bullnose" in Aspire?

I would like to make several signs from 3/4" thick material that has a rounded or "bullnose" edge to the profile of the sign. I am trying to see if anyone has done this on their CNC and if I could get some guidance. I'm wondering if I will need to flip the piece to shape each side or if it can be do...
