Re: PVC Board

for that kind of cheaper PVE I outline the part to be cut using a sharp tiny Vbit so I don't mess up the masking tape. then I use the largest zero flute upcut to remove the material work fine for all of my cuts that way (yeah all are upcut bits and zero or "single flute)

Undo in 3d modeling mode.

I was working on some underdash "classic" car replacement parts and found out that when I went into 3d mode I couldn't (ctrl Z) Undo anymore. went back to my saved file in 10.514 and I was able to do the undo feature. is this the new way of working on version 11.5? And is there a work around other t...

Re: Perspective Model View

I LIKE the different level of passes. That way I can double check my process. Heck DON'T fix it. I'm so used to Cammaster doing that and Mach3 and 4 along with 80 % of other software (yup including my 3d printer stuff) that I would know something was broke if I couldn't see the tool paths . if I wan...

Re: Todd's Wonkey zero plane

I use that similar setup to make my convertible parts it's just another component not a zero plane. it is a up and down curved shape put in a square 2 rail sweep or just like a squat molding toolpath. OR here I just used extruded weave as a test

Re: Online Store

I also needed a "plan", but mine was sheer luck. I like classic cars and Aspire(first Vcarve pro) was able to help me make some of the parts I wanted for my cars and it just so happened they were good enough that others wanted the parts also. Do I make a living off of the CNC? nope, not quite yet bu...

Re: Anyone doing epoxy inlays successfully?

I use smooth-on epoxies and plastics (some of the plastocs are 5 minutes set plastics and mill great!, the marbling ones I use look super cool in the wood patterns) in my 3-5 color designs. I also make a jig that holds the part in position and I can take that jig out and in multiple times and not lo...

Re: Found an error or bug in aspire 10 (well maybe)

Sometimes Windows will get confused and open a dialogue or input window that is hidden behind the other open windows. If it happens again try minimizing the front screens or use the task manager to switch to the hidden screen. nope, no such luck I went into task manager and looked at the services a...

Re: Found an error or bug in aspire 10 (well maybe)

Did you check the vectors before creating the toolpaths? Looks like very busy toolpaths to me which can often be a sign of messed up vectors (loops, crossovers etc). Otherwise it could just be the complexity of whatever is it you're trying to do. I sometimes cut complex half tone pictures and it pr...

Found an error or bug in aspire 10 (well maybe)

I was in the process of recalculating the paths since I measured the new material and forgot to select some vectors on my Vcarve function since I had removed the vector. the screen locked up and said no suitable vectors and won't let me out of it..I'know my bad for not saving it before I changed the...

Re: Layer Colors do not import with DXF

For work I often import vectors via DXF from AutoCAD. I have a layer template that I use for pocket routes, holes, etc. each with a corresponding color. When I bring in a DXF, all of the layers come in also, but they are all black in color. I am running Aspire 9. Has anyone else ran into this in th...

how to dish in this area only

I'm working on a little car project and just can not seem to do what I want. I want to dish in the area in the Yellow line on the picture and just in the cone area. basically it is to give a bit more room to the dimmer switch on my car. some of the other cars (same year and make)have the dimmer swit...

Re: 9.5 Disappointment on the upgrade

In the past, when getting an upgrade it was like a Christmas gift- not 9.5 The only thing that I got out of this was the “text” mobility... Hi Desert_Woodworker, The new Text features and behavior are a major improvement over previous versions. For me, this enhancement alone is well appreciated and...

Re: trouble with the tutorials

I can understand the tutorials just fine if I can get the dolby system I have turned up to max. Bass turned off and All the mid and high range sliders to max. the recorded volume of the video when loaded into pinacle editing software is about 1/3 the way up. which makes it an 8 to 35-40 year olds ra...
