exporting to STL

I have version 4.514 on Windows 8

Under the model menu it says export as STL.... I choose close with flat panel then the window closes. Where and how do I save it as an STL file?

Want to print what I made.

Thanks

Re: lathe tutorial

Thanks for the reply - I have to re-read it but should be able to give it a try over the weekend and see how it goes. The lathe just has a X & Z axis - and to me they seem reverse to where they should be. I am going to try some things and see how it goes. Mean time if anyone else has advice or exper...

Thanks -

Re: long reach 1" deep 1/8" bits

Thanks for the replies and links

USAGE:
Once I am done pocketing a wood on a guitar sometimes 3/4" - 1" deep - I want to go back and tighten up the inner edge with a 1/8" bit as the 1/4" bit leaves too much in the corners.

long reach 1" deep 1/8" bits

A lot of my pocketing I use 1/4" in diameter bits. I am finding that it would be best to do an inside profile cut with a 1/8" on some parts but I need the reach of no less than 1".

Any links would be appreciated. Thanks you

desperate help needed

I am having such a hard time. The center going to one side I want all as one flat surface while all around I want curve except where it meets the center I want to meet evenly.

I am so confused on what I am missing and doing wrong. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thank you
