Re: Problems with 2 rail sweep , simulation
OK , got it figured , working along with gary's suggestion of offsetting I tried the perimeter , the boarder allowance , all to no avail , then I tried offsetting the outer rail for the 2 rail sweep , ended up offsetting that .008 and it worked just fine . Thank you for pointing me in the right dire...

Re: Problems with 2 rail sweep , simulation
Seems when I do the 2 rail sweep the areas that have the lip in the simulation show up with spikes or short black lines above the surface in the 3D preview screen when I apply the 2 rail sweep

Re: Problems with 2 rail sweep , simulation
Thanks gary , tried both boundary offset and vector offset , still end up with the exact same simulation results as in the picture , I had same issue trying to do a neck carve , I just gave up finally , I'll play around a bit more , maybe I can figure something out before I go bonkers . Thanks again...

Is there a way to create fillets with Aspire on acute angles ? Or is it just a 90* angle option ?

Re: Having problems figuring 2 rail sweep within boudaries
Thanks Gene , yes , that's getting me on the right track , don't machine outside of selected vectors instead of model boundary or material boundary . I knew it would be something simple , just wasn't looking in the right place , now to get on with this model

Hi all , I am probably missing something here so figured I'd ask here , I have a guitar neck and want to use a 2 rail sweep on the back contour between the head stock and heel , see picture , between the 2 v-shaped vectors I have pointed out in picture http://i.imgur.com/3fSnS2g.jpg?2 I know how to ...

Re: Help with guitar belly carve in Aspire
Found my answer , was going over tutorials and read through the one on putting a model in a dish , well started playing with ovals and shaping and ended up getting what I wanted . I think this will work just fine , just gotta play with the angle and depth to fine tune :D http://i.imgur.com/HwmS9SW.j...

First Design & Carve Creation
Made this for a friend , sent out the other day , he should be getting it today , hopefully he will like it . It was my first real carve using Design & Carve with Aspire and following some of the tutorial tips . Its African mahogany @ .750" thick x 14" x 7.25" finished with 4 spray coats of clear sh...
