Re: Tool Database

Hi All, Sorry about any annoyance caused by this. We had an issue where the timestamps stored on our servers and those stored on some people's version of the tool database were not kept in sync. As someone once said, computers are brilliant at everything except dealing with numbers, words, and dates...

Re: Gadgets Not Available

Hi Ronald,

We had a few links to older gadgets that used to point to a now defunct domain. I've believe they've now been updated, but if you find any that are still not working and we'll get them fixed as soon as possible.

Cheers,
Adam

Re: Beki's Planter Barrow Project

Hi

I can't get the exact values that Beki used but I think I can get close. These woodgrain-ish patterns tend to work best with long wavelengths, almost zero amplitude and a lot of noise. This is what I tried to get near, you can probably iterate from here to get what you're after.

Hi Jimmy,

Thanks for the request. I can definitely see why you might want to do this. I'll talk to the Development team and record it in our Wishes list.

Re: post processor

Hi blacktrain, Did you migrate from version 10? Does it consistently pick another one to save to.One way to check what is happening when saving is to look in the registy using regedit and see if your selection is being saved here: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vectric\AspireV10\Toolpaths The D...

Re: Pass-Thru option

Hi Mike, Without dithering switched on then we don't actually do much image manipulation . The only editing we do is to resample the image so that the lines of the image coincide with with the raster lines of the toolpath. Were these things to coincide then we won't need to to resample at all. So wi...

Re: box making gadget

Hi All Prior to version 9 I don't think there was a release version of this gadget. It just lived on my computer and was shared around the office. Since then we have release a version: Version 9: http://www.vectric.eu/gadgets/V9/Vectric/Box_Creator_Gadget.vgadget Version 10: http://storage.vectric.c...

Re: Document Variables

Hi All, In this case then the advice to press the = key is dead right. When it comes to toolpaths it is often best to keep the document variable as is rather than press equals, because in that case the forumla used is saved with the toolpath and then when you update the variable the toolpath will up...

Hi All,

Just an FYI that we've updated the manuals which should mean that they are printable in one go now. It takes an age to preview the print on my PC but it does eventually get there :)

Re: VCarve 10.5 is OUT NOW!

Hi Neal The Shapeoko post was updated for version 10.5 and that seems to have caused some issues with the number of decimal places in the arc output. We have a post that we're testing out to ensure it fixes that issue. Post processor advice tends to be specific to whether or not people have made cha...

Re: VCarve 10.5 is OUT NOW!

Hi jmendenhall22,

I think the problem you are facing is to do with Arcs and the carbide motion controller. I've sent you a private message to ask for some more information.

Re: Laser module SharkHD4

Hi Brian

Underneath the covers then we are converting the pictures to grayscale to determine the laser power so I see no reason why it wouldn't work. Let us know how it works!
