Re: Machine Open Vectors in Reverse

Hi IV Boost, We did make a few changes because the way we were handling the direction and cut/climb was very inconsistent, and so it was often hard for people to determine the cut direction as it depended on multiple options including the vector direction, the climb and conventional setting, whether...

Hey Juder,

They may be hidden by the advanced toolpaths option that is unchecked on the form. Could you try that and let us know if it hasn't resolved it for you.

Re: Aspire V11.55 is OUT NOW

Hi Ogrenssnickeri,

Unfortunately we couldn't patch in the new templates because we may have ended up writing over user files. So if you'd like the templates then you can get them from just running the installer which you can grab from your V&Co account.

Cheers,

Re: VCarve Pro & VCarve Desktop V11.55 is OUT NOW

Hi Scott,

If you want access to the latest job templates then a full install is required, but otherwise you can just grab the patch as usual. It just will be a little bigger than the usual one.

Adam

Re: Skipping parts of toolpath

I think this is incorrect VECTRIC STAFF please clarify. Hi all, Yes we do take into account the tapered geometry. Although in this case, if anything, we'd expect to have the opposite problem if we weren't because we'd be dropping into those deep regions even when we shouldn't This is a puzzling one...

Re: Just installed V11.5

Hi sawmiller,

The clipart hasn't changed for this release and shouldn't need to be redownloaded, it should all just transfer across.

Re: an app called bugsplat

Hi stankern, As Adrian and Tex_Lawrence said we use BugSplat for crash reporting. Roughly speaking BugSplat monitors Aspire when it is running and checks that it hasn't crashed. If Aspire does crash it pops up a little window to allow a crash to be reported. This has to run as a separate application...

Re: Tool Database

Hi All, Sorry about any annoyance caused by this. We had an issue where the timestamps stored on our servers and those stored on some people's version of the tool database were not kept in sync. As someone once said, computers are brilliant at everything except dealing with numbers, words, and dates...

Re: Gadgets Not Available

Hi Ronald,

We had a few links to older gadgets that used to point to a now defunct domain. I've believe they've now been updated, but if you find any that are still not working and we'll get them fixed as soon as possible.

Re: Beki's Planter Barrow Project

Hi

I can't get the exact values that Beki used but I think I can get close. These woodgrain-ish patterns tend to work best with long wavelengths, almost zero amplitude and a lot of noise. This is what I tried to get near, you can probably iterate from here to get what you're after.

Re: post processor

Hi blacktrain, Did you migrate from version 10? Does it consistently pick another one to save to.One way to check what is happening when saving is to look in the registy using regedit and see if your selection is being saved here: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Vectric\AspireV10\Toolpaths The D...

Re: Pass-Thru option

Hi Mike, Without dithering switched on then we don't actually do much image manipulation . The only editing we do is to resample the image so that the lines of the image coincide with with the raster lines of the toolpath. Were these things to coincide then we won't need to to resample at all. So wi...
