Re: Programs cant runin the negative Z range????

Yeah my controller software has auto tool length sensing built into it. Very handy just having to select the tool from a dropdown menu and click ok for it to do thevrest and calculate the appropriate offsets. Still no full blown aito tool change but beats the old z block every day. I know mach3 and ...

Re: Alternative materials for carving lithophanes

Ever try tooling board? I use it for molds and other various projects that require good detail retention. Machines very well, even better when used with coolant(mist or flood)

Re: 10 degree draft

How thick are these letters you want to cut? If they going to be 1/2" thick or less you will have little issue with them releasing from concrete. If you use a true laminated plywood(not OSB or particle board) and sand the sides nice and smooth, then coat with petroleum jelly or heavy release wax to ...

Re: Suggestions needed for how to cut this without blowing out

I frequently cut pvc, HDPE, and acrylic parts using an almost exact setup youve mentioned. My vac table is powered by two Dyson 14 amp vacuum cleaner motor units. When i do get, as you describe it as, tearing of the thin onion layer and loss of vacuum its almost always associated with poor chip evac...

Re: Programs cant runin the negative Z range????

Im not sure I understand you set up, sorry maybe it's just me but if you are homing your machine & then using this as z zero then how does the machine know where to start cutting or how deep it has cut in any material? I've not actually got the z axis homed on my machine just the x & y axis. My mac...

It seems that the available PP will work but i came across a different issue. I noticed in the material setup section of each progra...

Re: Has anyone used this software with a Torchmate Routermate?

Thanks for the quick response Adrian. Yes this machine(and all other torchmates) use a proprietary controller/motor drive box. This is connected via a USB cable to a computer where the Routermate controller software located. Operates much like most other controllers except is PC based instead of a s...

Has anyone used this software with a Torchmate Routermate?

I've downloaded the trial version of cut 2d and cut 3d to see if this software will work with my Routermate CNC that I use to cut large foam molds and plugs. It's intriguing software and I'm always looking for a more simple approach to some of the stuff I cut out here and I think this is the ticket,...
