Re: Help with Roundover bit following edge of a chair seat
Because of the horn in the centre of the seat you'll probably also need two overlapping fluting paths.

Re: Version 12 Tool/Feature Name Changes (Be-Fuddling)
Everything seems to be a tad bit smaller. Do grade 9 writing teachers still warn against "everything", "all", "everyone knows"? Mine did. Of course, "most things", "it seems that" to me always (oops!) seem to be affected. Both programs on a Windows box set to 100% scale (i.e. no scaling). 9_5 vs ...

Re: V12 3D VIEW - Model displays as transparent
We might need an image. The dome below looks quite not transparent: no transparent.png Windows has a built-in snipping tool for taking screenshots and saving the image to a file. You can even draw highlights and annotations. The saved image file (png or jpg) can be uploaded as an attachment here...

Re: 3D view center point
I think I know what you have a problem with but it took poking around in the software and not reading anything here. Previous versions of Aspire / VCarve never had the ability to display the 2D vectors on the 3D view. Now it does. And software, being not very bright despite people slinging the terms...

Re: Trial version tutorial sample files
All will be revealed in the Help menu. There should be an entry for "Tutorials" that will go to the local (your computer) repository for the tutorials.

Perhaps an example of what you consider bad syntax to be would help us?

Re: All my profile projects are not cutting through the wood.
Up until now it's worked great. Thanks Considering the rest of your post this is a bit of a contradiction. The question I would have to ask is what did you do between when it "worked great" and now that "No matter what I do, the drill bit does not cut through the wood"? Did you upgrade from an earl...

What are we seeing? Vectors as Randall has posted or an imported bitmap?

Re: V12 - Unable to select Tapered Ball Nose tool for Vcarve Inlay toolpath
Yup. Only those bits that "make sense" for the toolpath are available—in this case v-bits. I suppose you could lie to the software and claim that the TBN is indeed a v-bit. The software will compute paths for that idealized v-bit that will not run well at all with the TBN. If you really are adamant ...

Re: phantom hole punch
-1 on layer differences. +1 for layers being a red herring. Here's a simple single layer cutfile that has in fact two layers: single layer.png A natural consequence of importing a DWG (or DXF) file. that an extra hole has been mysteriously added after "calculating". This suggests a very tiny "du...

You are going to be attaching the file to the message. To that end below the "Save draft", "Preview", and "Submit" button is a tab labelled "Attachments".

Re: V12 ToolPath Preview Hard to See
Re-installation really should be a last resort.
Again, a screenshot would provide so much more information.
