Re: Keystroke for Cut Depth in a tool path.
If I understand the question it is "T" or "t" if you like.
Some use "Z" but T for thickness makes more sense to me.

Re: boolean options
That would be for the "Combine with components..." section. I have looked for that myself. The Vectric tutorial videos show some of the options (primarily Add) but only in a limited way and only as they pertain to a specific sample job. They're not actually Boolean operations as such but, rather, "B...

Re: Vectric products for OSX and Linux?
The ubiquity of Linux and it's potentials benefits (and let's be honest more than a few drawbacks) are all well and good but... In the end Vectric only has so much resources (time and money) and they have a legacy product (17+ years) that runs under one OS. They could try and port it to macOS and/or...

Re: Import File Limit size?
First off I wouldn't use JPG—too much lossy artefacts.
Second an A4-sized image at 1200 "dpi" is 14032x9922 pixels in size. I'm not surprised VCarve choked.
I created a PNG image that size and got the same error. I resized it to half the dimensions (1/4 the area) and it imported just fine.

Re: 3d raster plunge rate question
In the following I will presume that the toolpath you are referring to is the "Finish Machining Toolpath" otherwise known as "3D Finishing". And that by "plunge" you mean the "Plunge Rate" as defined in the Edit Tool. And that by "feed" you mean "Feed Rate" again as defined in the Edit Tool. I under...

Re: Can SVG's be uploaded and used in Pro?
Another caveat regarding SVG files: sometimes SVGs created on a macOS machine loaded into Windows will need to be scaled to resolve poorly encoded "dots per inch" differences between macOS and Windows machines.
PDF and EPS would be much more preferred.

You'll do well to familiarize yourself with the Reference Guide.

Re: Nesting!! Can we do something about it?
Selection of options within the nesting screen can also affect things. Sometimes choosing to nest along X is better than along Y (or vice versa ). Setting a border gap to 0 can often produce a result which when you center the resulting vectors in the material gives similar if not better border gaps....

Re: toolpath to clean up corners
I imagine that the original poster want it to work somewhat like a pocket toolpath except that instead or running the small cutter entirely around the vector shape the toolpath would just create the corner cleanups. All well and good for poined corners but creating an algorithm to identify curved po...

The Laguna post-processors for VCarve, etc. seem to imply that they are based on Mach post-processors. Perhaps one of the Mach PPs in Photo VCarve would be useful?

Re: Problem with Cut files
Here's another case of people getting hung up about overlaps and people believing that the "Vector Validator" is a panacea to cure all ills. The layer "Inner Ring" as the file is opened contains two objects: an open vector which describes almost the entire fan shape ; a grouped set of vectors that i...

Re: Controlling Z path for fluting
Yup. Pictures / a file will really help. My thoughts are: you say starting at 1/2" depth rising to 1/16". But, is that not the same as starting at 1/16" depth and descending to 1/2"? the Project Toolpath Onto 3D Model should do what you want. It will start the fluting toolpath 1/16" below the surfac...
