Code 3 error
I am getting a code 3 error when trying to open a V-Carve Pro file sent to me via email. I am using Aspire 8 to try to open the V-Carve file - will that work? I have downloaded the file but I get the code 3 error when trying to open with Aspire (latest version). Any suggestions please, or can anyone...

Router Bit Kerf Compensation
How can I compensate for .25" router bit kerf when cutting dogbone shaped or jigsaw puzzle shaped interlocking wood joints so that I do not lose overall diameter of the project? Just to provide more information; I am making a 16' diameter doughnut shaped circle (with an 8' center hole) using 16 ea p...

Re: Need help designing a slanting hole (3D)
Paul I tested your design today and it worked fine - I just need to adjust the amount of slant to suit the objects that will be placed in these holes. You were correct, I should have been able to do this simple design myself, but I don't use the 3D portion enough to get proficient and I needed to ge...

Re: Need help designing a slanting hole (3D)
Could I adjust the slope after I have the file if the slope is not quite correct? - I think I can, I have altered other 3D files before, I just have trouble creating them.

Re: Need help designing a slanting hole (3D)
Thanks Paul, that is exactly what I am after - unfortunately, I don't have the 3D experience with Aspire and I was looking for someone to make the file for me...

Re: Need help designing a slanting hole (3D)
Thanks for the replies - what if the sides were plumb with vertical but the bottom of the hole was angled 10 degrees using a 3D approach - that's what I was thinking of actually.

Need help designing a slanting hole (3D)
Can anyone assist me to design a 1.25" diameter hole in Aspire that is slanted 10 degrees from vertical. The bottom of the hole needs to be .3750" (3/8") deep at the highest level and will slant down 10 degrees to the other side of bottom of the hole, which, as I draw it out in Corel Draw is about ....

Convert a negative to a positive
I have a 3D .dxf file of a shape that I need to reverse so I can carve the shape using Aspire. I hope I can explain this properly. I CNC probed the inside surface of a shape (happens to be the inside of a plastic briefcase side) but I need to reverse the probed shape so that it appears to be the out...

Re: Any Vectric product support 3D Probe?
Thanks Adrian - I think I have the issue resolved - I need to choose the correct option when I probe with the ShopBot Copy Machine. Thanks to Brady Watson on the ShopBot forum.

Any Vectric product support 3D Probe?
I need to create a 3D drawing to cut a shape out of wood. The project involves making a wooden form to support the inside of the side of a plastic briefcase. The sides of the briefcase needs some machining operations and requires support. I have created a Plaster of Paris form of the inside of the b...
