Just was wondering about the graphics on the finished product.. Where did those come from? b/ I downloaded them from http://localarcade.com/arcade_art/. They have lots of old arcade art in vector format (sort of an archive to preserve the old artwork). I just resized it in Illustrator, and then had...

ABSOLUTELY, FANTASTIC! What a neat idea. Too bad, though, the kids that age only seem to stay that size for about six months! Were you the one that posted a mid-size cabinet for their daughter(?) on CNCzone a while back? Very nifty, Thanks, they are fun to make. They can also be played by ad...

yeah, I'd love to post pics of the finished project, this was just the middles of it though, the sides get cut out of a different material. I will post a pic of what it will be though (I have made one of these in the past, but was not able to fit the 2 sets of middle pieces on one sheet of wood in t...

Wow, you guys are fast, unfortunately, I must have an older version that you guys have (I have version 3) so it won't let me open up any of the files. Is there a way to save the files so they can be opened by older versions, or even a screen shot of how you have it laid out so I can lay it out the s...

Need help arranging my pieces in material...
I have been trying to figure out if it's possible to arrange my pieces in a 2'x4' piece of wood for a while now, I have been close a few times, but just can't seem to fit it in. It may very well be impossible, but I thought I would ask this group before I gave up entirely :) I am attaching a small s...

Best way to make a box that is easy to assemble...
I have seen some interesting ways that people make boxes with their CNC machine on these forums, but I thought I would throw this question out there to see what everyone thought. I am interested in making little square boxes (with no top, just the 4 sides and a bottom). It would be a cube shape basi...

Extremely hard to read. As much as I can see, font is not setup inside HTML, so browser ends up using default (which will be Times New Roman, in many places, I guess). Looks horrible. Define Verdana to be used, will make it much more readable. Grey font color makes it less readable than if it was b...

Small ballnose for lithopanes, which one?
I have been using some 60 degree v-bits for lithopanes, but it leaves too many "fuzzies" on the cutting board, and someone suggested switching to smaller ball nose bits. I would love to try it out, but am not sure which size I should get. I will probably by from American-Carbide, probably a micro ba...

I just got an e-mail announcement from 2linc.com about a new engraving tool they brought out: http://www.2linc.com/engraving_tools_tough_tip.htm Doesn't look they give any options on differnt angles (could be, I just haven't looked closely enough), but they look to be worth trying out. Just thought ...

I got my new computer over the weekend, and I just finally got it all up and running and installed Vcarve on it. It seems to be working on Vista with no problems. I only played around with it a bit, but I tried to use many of the different tools and created many different kinds of tool paths, and so...

Free and easy 3D modeling software...
I haven't tried this, but when I saw it, I thought of Cut3D immediately: http://www.cbmodelpro.com/ It is supposed to be very easy to use, and it's currently free in it's beta form. It says it can output in many popular formats, so it is likely it would be compatible with Cut3D, but like I said, I'v...
