Box gadget help
Preview looks great. Shows carving outside the lines, as programmed. When run it carves inside the lines. Other projects work just fine. Is there something I'm overlooking?

Re: Possible help for VCarve users?
Well, I stand corrected. The policy only applies to projects that Vectric is claiming ownership. They are not claiming ownership of ALL files any user produces. Thanks in advance for not jeering me off this thread. Sometimes my wife of 57 years says I look but I don't see. Once again she is correct....

Re: Possible help for VCarve users?
An interesting tidbit is that the first example in the post above was then featured by Vectric https://www.vectric.com/vectric-community/case-study/SPalmCreativeHobbyist From the article. For this month's case study we talked to Steve Palm, a hobbyist CNC woodworker from Columbia, Maryland, to learn...

Thanks for the replies.
I'm wondering how Vectric continues to allow file sharing on this forum?

Just two examples of hundreds on this forum.

Possible help for VCarve users?
Recently in a video from Vectric, a turtle box was featured that was carved with Aspire. In the comments section, users asked if Vectric could offer VCarve files. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuo3Ou8YwJk Here is a portion of the responses: "I can purchase 3D files from Design and Make that are co...

Re: A simple way to make inlays
Another question. When dry fitting the corian into the wood, there is a little bit of play between the two. They do not fit together solidly. Using the compass rose recently featured on Vectric I can rotate the inlay slightly when it is in place. I use the same v bit to carve both. It is a bit with ...

Re: A simple way to make inlays
Sorry I didn't make myself clear. It's using Corian to use as an inlay into cherry using the process described in this whole thread. Super Glue, contact cement, Gorilla Glue, silicone caulk, epoxy or something else? I'm not sure what kind of plastic Corian is and many of the glues say it will not wo...

Re: Need advice
Woo Hoo. Just started carving a test piece and even though it isn't completely done, I can easily see the improvement in the quality by using the highest resolution. Thanks again for everyone's help. I've been away from woodworking for a while and it seems I've forgotten a lot or didn't know enough ...

Re: Need advice
Wow, I feel like I hit the jackpot this morning. Thanks to all who gave answers. The model I used was included with VCarve Pro 10. I didn't know there was a resolution factor involved. I just selected it and moved on. The sounds like the solution to my problem. Will carve again after lunch and repor...
