Re: tool database details missing

I just upgraded to V11 (not an early adopter), and all my tools are greyed out. I understand that they will be greyed out for a new machine and new material type, however I want to use the same settings I had previously for all my bits. Is there any way I can do this automatically? Is there any way ...

Go Away Gnome. Warning: depicts a gesture that some may find offensive

Warning: This depicts a gesture that some may find offensive, so I am first uploading a censored version that will be used in the gallery view. Then I'll upload an uncensored version for anyone who clicks through. You have been warned! The 3D model was purchased online. Cut by Marty and painted by E...

Eagle flying over flag

In the June Vectric Newsletter, there were a number of 3D models for the 4th of July. This assembly turned out to be another opportunity to showcase the painting skills of my sister Erica.

Weathervane Clock

This was Michael Tyler's free project from the June 2019 newsletter.

The incredibly detailed and realistic looking painting (especially on the rooster, see the closeup photo) was done by Erica.

Frank, we have made 2 of these meditation benches, both, including the one pictured here, in cherry. I imagine Maple would work fine.

Re: Mirror Horizontal or Vertical from Node Editing Tool

Once you've activated mirror mode in Node editing (right click menu or press the shortcut keys H or V) then you need to select the node(s) you want to move and the corresponding node(s) on the other side of the dashed mirror line (hold down shift while clicking to select more than one node or drag-...

The attached photo shows the node edit window (accessed by right clicking while in node edit more), and it clearly shows Mirror Horizontal and Mirror Vertical. This is what I'm trying to use.

Mirror Horizontal or Vertical from Node Editing Tool

I can't figure out how to mirror vertical or horizontal from the node editing tool. I have a piece that I want to modify in a symmetrical way and I believe this should help me do it, but I can't figure out how to get this to happen. Could someone explain how to use it or point me to a video or a sec...

Re: Foldable Meditation Bench

I also put some felt furniture bumpers on the inside of the legs so it can be folded silently. This acts as a cushion between the 2 pieces of wood when folded.

Re: Foldable Meditation Bench

Andy: What kind of hinges did you use, and where did you get them? Frank, I just got 2" hinges at Lowes, like the ones shown at this link: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Gatehouse-2-in-Polished-Brass-Mortise-Door-Hinge-2-Pack/1000513859 In an earlier post, I mentioned how the original hinge was bent when...
