Re: Mach3 Any experts out there?
No idea if there is anyone who would visit your home   Have you tried asking this question on the mach support forum? You might get better answers on there as it is more focused on mach software   https://www.cnczone.com/forums/mach-software-artsoft-software-/375486-forum.html

Re: Bottoming out a collet nut
Read through most of the post & didn't see this mentioned, if you hover over the toolpath in the toolpath list it will tell you the maximum depth that toolpath will cut to which can help with how long the bit you are using needs to be, no it's not collision detection but it can help.

Re: Post Processor inches or mm
As Adrian says it's more about how the machine control software is set up when it comes to post processors, do Fox Alien have a forum as it would be best to ask there or their support if you are not sure yourself.

Re: Fender Stratocaster Vector Needed
Have you tried a search on the forum? Don't know if what you are looking for has previously been posted but do know that some guitar files have been uploaded to the forum in the past

Re: GCode Mystery
Have you tried saving each toolpath separately to see if that works? Do the toolpaths use the same bit?
I don't know anything about your machine or the control software you are using so no idea how it works with toolpaths

Re: Layers in 12
Only by adding the sheet number to the layer at the moment, send a feature request to Vectric, I have already done that because I would like to see better management for layers & sheets, hopefully at some point something will be done if enough people ask & it is something that they can do  :lol...

Re: Aspire 12 and CNC on different computers
I work in a similar way to Adrian, the CNC machines have their own control computers & these have just the Control software on them they are not connected in any way to the internet. Toolpath files I transfer via a USB stick. I have a design computer at the workshop so if changes are needed then its...

Try a search on the forum, I know a few different grips have been posted in the past but couldn't tell you which ones or if they are still available for download

Re: Inverting Vectric Clipart depth maps?
Not sure I fully understand but I think you are using the wrong tools, the invert function & apply are available in the picture editing tool & I don't think that is what you are trying to do. I think you are trying to create a component that is carved into the material rather than a component that i...

Re: Spindle speed Following a vcarve version change
Are you using this new computer to run the control software for your machine as well or is the new computer just for your design work.
If you are using the same computer to control your CNC & have installed the CNC control software on it are you sure you have set it up the correct way?

Re: editing stl file in vcarve 11
If you use the selected vectors option for your machining limit boundary then you can avoid machining the middle. if you don't already have one then draw a vector around the perimeter of the model, select that vector & the circle vector & use them as your boundary

Re: Halo around 3D outcarved model
Thanks for updating the post & good to hear that you are happy with the results you are now getting, just one small point. With a CNC router it is very unlikely you will ever get a good chip load with a 4 flute endmill, they are really designed for CNC mills & metals where a different type of spindl...
