Re: Vectric Validator Intersections and Overlaps
As Adrian has already said it's not so much how simple a project looks but how the artwork has been created & for what purpose. There are a number of different ways that vectors could have been created from the original bitmap image depending on what you wanted to be able to do with them. For output...

Re: Is their a simple way of moving x,y datum position after the fact?
I do this all the time, my default for designing is the centre of the material because it makes a lot of operations so much easier BUT for output for the machine I always use the lower left corner   As has been said easy enough to do, once you have opened the job set up, changed the xy pos...

Re: Bowl & tray bit - Database category?
What do you mean by unusual results? If the bit was working fine & now you seem to be having problems then is it time for a new one or to sharpen the one you are using
Generally speaking a bowl bit would be entered in the tool database as a radiused endmill or a form tool

Re: Creating bigger radius then radius of the drill
If you look at the rectangle tool you will see there is an option for both external & internal radiused corners as well as square corners, that's if I have read your post correctly

Re: Please Help ( Code Red )
As adze_cnc has already said you need to cut the pocket larger than the width of your stock material when you cut the tenons   You are going to have the same problem when you cut the mortices, a round tool can't cut a square corner so your tenons aren't going to slot in without some kind o...

Re: Export circle as a circle not 4 arcs
What other file formats does your Biesse software accept? You might be better off using something other than DXF

Re: Vectric Validator Intersections and Overlaps
It can take many hours to clean up artwork & it may be that what you think you are doing to clear these areas is not actually clearing them, it may also be that when moving nodes you are creating new problems, it is very difficult to know for sure. It is one of those things that unfortunately takes ...

Re: First 3D Project - Noob Problems
Hello everybody. I do not know if my questions can be asked in this item but i give it a try. What i want to do is make a rectangular hole in a material with a round top cutter, let's say diameter 8, radius 4. All the lines will have a 4mm radius. BUT i want the corners to heve a bigger radius, let...

Re: Can two closed vectors share a common line?
You can only join vectors at an open end, you can't join vectors along a span so the answer is no 2 semi-circle vectors can't share a common line   It is easy enough to create 2 closed semi-circle vectors & the fact that you have an overlapping vector is not a problem at all. You don't nee...

Re: LUBRICATING THE SCREWS AND RUNNERS
Have you checked the owner's manual for the machine? I would expect any maintenance that should be carried out to be listed in there or maybe the shark forum where everyone will be using the same Brand machine   My machines are all really old & there are no manuals so I just made up my own...

Re: Vcarve toolpath depth question
If the letters are carving to different depths then then setting the z zero once is always going to give you different depths with the letters, moving the z axis down will cut those letters that are very shallow deeper but it will also cut the letters that are the correct depth deeper. I have done a...

Re: Drilling Randomly Spaced Dowel Pin Holes in an L shape on X and Y Axis
I wouldn't pocket 8mm holes but like a lot of things that is personal choice, I prefer to profile cut small holes cutting inside the line using a spiral ramp, in fact I don't pocket cut my 20mm dog holes, they are also cut using a profile toolpath cutting inside the line   Yes you can use ...

Re: Vcarve toolpath depth question
What is it that you are trying to accomplish? using a start depth so you can cut to a certain depth probably isn't the best way   Something you also need to take into account is that the software assumes there is no material above the start depth so your first pass with be whatever start d...

Re: File Size
if the file is to large then upload it to something like dropbox or google drive & share the link. Finding another image of the same thing will make no difference whatsoever, you will still create the same set of vectors to be carved. If you are having problems uploading the file then the next best ...

Re: Toolpath
might be easier if you can upload the file   There isn't a limit to how many sections you can have, sometimes you do need to zoom in a bit to be able to cut vectors plus you may have vectors grouped. As for cutting open vectors then you need to be aware of left/right of the line as Adrian ...
