Re: 2d Profile Bit Change not allowed

What version of the software are you running & if you have upgraded to V11 have you set up the tool database & the machine correctly, do you have speed & feed settings for the bit you wish to change to?

Re: Create Form Tool in Tool Database

Don't think you can add keyhole bits to the tool date base, the vector shape creates an undercut & vectric software doesn't support undercuts

Re: new user not sure where to start

There are a few different ways of using text to achieve the look you desire, you should also learn to use & trust the toolpath preview as it will save you wasted time & materials. As others have said posting your crv file will help. by doing that people can see what you have done rather than you pos...

Re: Vectric InLay

Working as a signmaker I use a number of double sided tapes & films, as long as everything is cleaned properly then there shouldn't be any trouble bonding the 2 materials. You can also use certain adhesives. I use a range by a Company here in the UK who are very helpful. If I have 2 substrates that ...

Re: Help Me Justify Upgrading to V11

I would have to agree with Adrian, the only person who can really decide if it is worth it is you. For some people the upgrade will be worth it & for others it won't & the great thing about Vectrics upgrade policy is that you aren't penalised if you miss an upgrade   Watch the whats new Vi...

Re: Aspire V11 is OUT NOW!

Is there any new clip art that would require me to re download those items? I'd like to know that too. Does V11 include any "New" clipart? Thanks, Joe. If you look at the July newsletter from Design & Make The Waterside Collection - Coming Soon! Design & Make is excited to be part of the Vectric's ...

Re: Aspire V11 is OUT NOW!

Question: can I move all the clipart from the v10.5 directory to the new directory for v 11? Clipart is installed in a central location that is available to all Vectric software on your computer. It's not installed in a version specific location. The default install location is: "C:\Users\Public\Do...

Would it be possible for you to post your file? If it's to big then add a dropbox or other link.
It's easier to see whats going on if the file is available

Re: Artifacts using an offset finishing toolpath....

Not sure I understand your post completely, you said that raster didn't leave any marks but was 5 times longer, do you mean that they show in the offset toolpath preview & not in the raster toolpath preview or have you actually machined this project using both options? As the others have said if it ...

Re: i cant figure out what I've done wrong

A good tip to get into doing -- Either copying vectors to a new layer call it "master vectors" OR Create a folder called "master vectors" then export vectors as .dxf or eps and save to the folder created. This way you will always have the original vectors if something either happens within V-carve ...

Re: VERSION 11 - COMING SOON

On some jobs I am doing right now, I REALLY NEED some of those new features. Particularly the new improved 3D roughing cycle. I would upgrade TODAY if I could. I hate to sell my client something that I KNOW could be better tomorrow. But the actual job won't be any better tomorrow, just take l...
