Re: Node Edit imported DXF file in VCarve Pro 9.5

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem, uploading the file always helps but if you can't do that for copyright reasons then screenshots are the next best thing, guessing terminology may be part of the reason for my miss understanding, sounds like you have some 2D clipart as models are not made ...

Re: Version 11 Frustration

Have you tried installing or reinstalling the latest version of v transfer? Not something I have ever used so can't help much with that. The other thing I was going to mention was about your settings not being carried over, check all the different types of material listed as my settings were there f...

Re: Unable to upload or download tool database

Reason I asked how you registered it was because if you had done it online then you have to give permission to conect, I wonder if maybe your anti virus software is preventing the upload/download

Re: V11 - Create Component from Toolpath preview - Glitch?

Have people tried resetting the toolpath preview simulation as dealguy11 has suggested? I have increased mine to very high (4 x slower) & I don't have any problem deleting the waste material

Re: Rest machine 3d finish path in v11

Sir, I have adjusted my stepover and it took about 15 min to update finally. There is no real reason for the rest machining except to speed up the overall carve and to get that smaller detail for the "Last Supper" I carved. I have done 2 so far and I can tell a difference with the rest machining. I ...

Re: maintain older version of Vcarve Desktop?

I have older versions on my desktop machine where space isn't an issue so I can help some people who are having problems, as dealguy11 has said you will have to make sure you use the older version for any design work done that you want to share with your friend so he will still be able to open the f...

Re: Copy V10 Tool Data To V11

Well... Don't know what I did but now its working. Thanks for the help Steve Good to hear that it is working OK now but you would have been better migrating from a previous version rather than moving it, that way a lot of other things you may have done within the previous version will be transfered...

Re: Unable to upload or download tool database

Might be best to contact vectric support directly, how did you register the software in the shop? Did you do it online? When you open the tool database do you get the 2 icons to upload & download the tool database, I know if I am at my workshop I have no internet connection so have to tether my pnon...

Re: Rest machine 3d finish path in v11

As has been said there is increased time but I haven't seen anything like the times people are saying. I've just tried a 3D model at 12 x 12, very high resonution (x7) which is as high as I need to go for most of the work I do. 2 x tapered ballnose bits, 1mm & 0.25mm radius. 10% stepover on the 1mm ...

What version of the software are you running & if you have upgraded to V11 have you set up the tool database & the machine correctly, do you have speed & feed settings for the bit you wish to change to?

Re: Create Form Tool in Tool Database

Don't think you can add keyhole bits to the tool date base, the vector shape creates an undercut & vectric software doesn't support undercuts

Re: new user not sure where to start

There are a few different ways of using text to achieve the look you desire, you should also learn to use & trust the toolpath preview as it will save you wasted time & materials. As others have said posting your crv file will help. by doing that people can see what you have done rather than you pos...

Re: Vectric InLay

Working as a signmaker I use a number of double sided tapes & films, as long as everything is cleaned properly then there shouldn't be any trouble bonding the 2 materials. You can also use certain adhesives. I use a range by a Company here in the UK who are very helpful. If I have 2 substrates that ...
