Re: What on earth is going on? really stuck, need help!

As long as your jig holds the areas you're cutting flat then the fact that the rest of the shape is 3D at an angle doesn't matter. That's what I had planned from the start Adrian, after all the reading and going through tutorials I considered that the height of my holding jig didn't matter. What th...

Re: What on earth is going on? really stuck, need help!

What is it that you are trying to achieve? Looks like you are using a Vcarve/engraving toolpath which is probably the wrong type of toolpath for what you want to achieve. Not sure what you want to do but you probably should be using a profile or pocket toolpath but without knowing more its hard to k...

Re: post processor for Axiom

When you say it's not listed do you mean the machine isn't listed when you run the kickstarter? If that is the case then is the post processor you were using previously listed in the post processor list? Do you know what controller it uses as that may help. If you don't get a reply then probably bes...

Re: Plane cut 3d model above a specific Z value

Is this really a 3D job? Looking at what you have posted it looks more like a 2D profile/pocket job which firstly means you don't have to worry about the artifacts & secondly will machine a lot quicker

Re: toolbar moving

How have you got it set in the software options? The tabs now appear towards the top & run vertically rather than horizontaly as they did before, try selecting, edit & options & on the tab layout select bottom    Ah think Adrian is right on this, I have probably miss read the post :oo...

Re: V11 - Create Component from Toolpath preview - Glitch?

Must be something to do with it being a double sided job   If you take your file & make it a single sided job then it works as advertised   I tried the model that I had used originally but this time made it a double sided job & just machined a couple of pockets on the back, soon ...

Re: Node Edit imported DXF file in VCarve Pro 9.5

Not sure if this will help but explains a little, there is a good post on the forum explaining how the vcarve toolpath works but I can't find it  https://support.vectric.com/aspire-questions/item/how-to-set-cut-depth-when-v-carving There is probably more answers to vcarve toolpath in the FAQ's...

Re: V11 - Create Component from Toolpath preview - Glitch?

I sent a test file to tech support and their answer was: Hello Steve, "Many thanks for your inquiry, I am currently looking into this for you. A way around this is to use the Clear area of selected components outside selected vectors tool, Please see screenshot: https://www.screencast.com/t/HxEyP5z...

Re: Node Edit imported DXF file in VCarve Pro 9.5

I'm not sure I fully understand the problem, uploading the file always helps but if you can't do that for copyright reasons then screenshots are the next best thing, guessing terminology may be part of the reason for my miss understanding, sounds like you have some 2D clipart as models are not made ...

Re: Version 11 Frustration

Have you tried installing or reinstalling the latest version of v transfer? Not something I have ever used so can't help much with that. The other thing I was going to mention was about your settings not being carried over, check all the different types of material listed as my settings were there f...

Reason I asked how you registered it was because if you had done it online then you have to give permission to conect, I wonder if maybe your anti virus software is preventing the upload/download

Re: V11 - Create Component from Toolpath preview - Glitch?

Have people tried resetting the toolpath preview simulation as dealguy11 has suggested? I have increased mine to very high (4 x slower) & I don't have any problem deleting the waste material

Re: Rest machine 3d finish path in v11

Sir, I have adjusted my stepover and it took about 15 min to update finally. There is no real reason for the rest machining except to speed up the overall carve and to get that smaller detail for the "Last Supper" I carved. I have done 2 so far and I can tell a difference with the rest machining. I ...

Re: maintain older version of Vcarve Desktop?

I have older versions on my desktop machine where space isn't an issue so I can help some people who are having problems, as dealguy11 has said you will have to make sure you use the older version for any design work done that you want to share with your friend so he will still be able to open the f...
