Re: Refreshing the 3D View?

I have not even had the tool path flyout open. I am only doing the modeling that would then be tool pathed if you were going to machine it. 3D printing eliminates that step. I am just using the program that does what I want to do. Adrian, I have watched you for years helping us under-educated people...

Re: Refreshing the 3D View?

I am starting to remember some of this- the screen labeled 3D View is displaying the toolpath preview? I modeled this with 3D modeling tools and then export as a .stl which I can print with my Prusa MK4 printer. So I don't actually setup any tool paths as I am not going to mill this. I think I under...

Refreshing the 3D View?

I have 10.516 and I have not used my CNC for a couple years but plan to as soon as my 77yo life settles down a bit . I do a lot of laser work and 3D printer designing and building and I use Aspire only occasionally I am afraid- I have vector design programs I have used for decades and other...

Stored spindle start-up

My life has been hectic for 5-6 years and I am finally regaining control. I have had a Shopbot Buddy 48" Alpha for a number of years and always loved it but it was taken out of service in about 2018 judging from the dates on my old files. I have been wrapped up in large format Chicom CO2 lasers for ...

Re: Laser Enhancement on a Rotary Project

TR- yep you got it- you have to put a smooth plate on a laser bed and then the wheels have rubber tires for traction- the arms connect to the gantry with magnets and the object turns 1:1 with the gantry [backwards of course]. For not cylindrical items one end is adjustable. No motor, no calibration-...
