Re: Trying some corian

Cabinet makers always have sink cutouts that are usually not used. They are not white of course but some are pretty for some uses. There is also 1/4" available online- usually white, works great on the laser as well.

Re: Inlays - Merging Technologies

I consider my Prusa Mk3s a valuable essential tool and design in Fusion360 and print items for myself every day. I am sheltering at home for the duration and brought it home with me. I took it to the Keys last month also. I print almost exclusively PETG with great success.

Re: How to fabricate MDF, sheetmetal, hardwood veneer sandwic

They now produce a ACM [aluminum composite material - plastic core .125 or .25 with alum faces] with steel faces. Cuttable with a saw and flat, if that might work.

Re: Carving

I used to love to do tracing of logos when I had a sign business, very relaxing for me. And it is a nice logo- what is QB? Looks similar to a Bentley logo.

Re: Thin Plywood

Leo- I use a lot of wood from Ocooch hardwoods- they have *very* nice scrollsaw wood and also .25 mdf core ply that cuts very nicely- more uniform than ply.

Re: Free Lab's Project: Tic-Tac-Toe

Corian and it's many variants are normally used for counter tops. It is normally .5" thick and I have gotten it from woodworking shops who have drops [unused scraps] and the cutouts from sink installations. I have also bought .25" which is used a lot for backlit lithograph carvings from ebay and Ama...

In the body shop we bought rolled 3M sandpaper for sanding blocks [and longer sticks] that have adhesive with backing paper- I think boxes of 4x16" sheets too.

I do have Aspire, Gary. Thanks Gene. I have been in email contact with them and they don't seem to have considered developing a PP. Yet.

Post processor question

I have a Shopbot [mostly because of their excellent forum] and use the PP for that with no problem. I am setting up a Wazer waterjet cutter and I am quite impressed with the build quality of the machine, that said- their online software [WAM] is really unimpressive, and I have spoken to them with my...

Re: Engrave Stainless Yeti

This is pretty easy on a laser, the chicom lasers are glass CO2 Direct Current tubes, whereas the US machines are Radio Frequency metal tubes [5 times the cost]. We have a couple of people on our chinese laser forum [RDworkslab dot com] who are building DIY lasers. It is basically a cnc motion machi...
