No Response on Upgrade Request.
What has happened to support? They will not answer my request for upgrade pricing (4 days now). They say they have no record of me owning V Carve Pro and so I sent them all my information several times and they will not respond. This is not typical of their excellent support so I am posting here in ...

Re: Speed and Feed project
thanks all for the replies its is appreciated very much.. I am going to start with a spreadsheet that will input the horsepower and min-max spindle speed and go from there to the bit criteria which like many have pointed out is available. Re: Speed and Feed project
One more variable that comes into play is "How sharp is the bit?". Might be useful to keep a log for how many inches a bit has cut and what material was used. Funny you say that because one of the custom add-ons that I had programmed for the open source LinuxCNC that runs my machine was in fact a d...

where would these be located? which ones?
given this example you have a 1/8" carbide 4 flute bit to cut 1/8" mild steel how would you proceed with no other information? also vcarve ask for data that is not typical, like plunge rate?

I am going to try and make a Excel sheet that will calculate all the tool info fields in the Tool Database. I know this will require many variables and I have to start somewhere since I need this myself...

Then let's use the Create Shape dialog to extrude the vectors into the shapes we want: Hope this helps. steve, i owe you big because i see that would all be a waste of time to build gun parts. i think i have just understood the limitations of aspire. it's like adrian said for me it would only add t...

Re: Aspire upgrade question
It's done in exactly the same way you would do two sided machining in VCarve just with 3D components and toolpaths. big thanks! that tells me that the video they won't let me see would have disappointed madly. so the only thing i would gain is 3d on one flat side other than that it's same as vcarve...

Is there a way to import a Tool Database from a spreadsheet? If so (I pray) where is there an example of the of the required fields?
