Re: Bulge Calculation
Not exactly sure what you mean by bulge, but I interpreted it to refer to circular segments. This may help you validate the results of your existing function.

Re: WinCNC, UCCNC or Centroid Acorn
Nobody else in this thread may like it, but LinuxCNC has been running my 3-axis gantry router just fine. It's a real-time OS and rock solid from my perspective. I've even applied system updates while machining. Not that I do that often, it was more of a test case, but there was no drop-off in perfor...

Re: Kinetic Art Table
Really love this! I've wanted a Sisyphus table ever since I came across them and toyed with the thoughts of a DIY version but figured the software would be the hard part. Did you write your code from scratch? I'd be very interested in getting more details if you decide to make an Instructable or som...

Re: Using shared network drives for storage
I keep all my vectric project files in a shared network folder along with a master tool database. I can work on the files from any of my computers, including my machine controller, and I also manually copy the tool database to each machine. Works well for me.

Re: Grbl support
I don't remember all the restrictions on the trial versions, I know they limit what files you can actually machine, but I wouldn't think they'd restrict what machine you cut them on. Can you copy the post processor file from your Cut2D PP folder to the Vcarve Trail PP folder?

Re: Rounded Inside AND Outside Corners
I believe the effect you're seeing is because the fillet radius you entered during the rectangle creation matches the radius of your core bit. If your rectangle rounds were larger than the cutting bit radius, then the inside corners would have a rounds on them as well.

Re: Customer Facing Locked-Down Vcarve interface
CNCRouterParts did something similar to this at one of the Maker Faires (I keep up with them because I have one of their CNC router kits). They have a traveling version of one of their smaller footprint machines and created a template within Autodesk's other software parametric 3D CAD program to all...
