Re: rotation snap acuracy
The length of your rectangle (24.0212) times the number of copies (42 ?) is greater than the circumference of the circle (991.958). Adjust the rectangle or circle size. It has been discussed earlier on how to calculate the line length considering the arc of the circle, I just can't remember where. :...

hcwoodwkr,
I really hate to ask a very simple question, but did you zero your z after changing bits? Just asking.

Re: measuring a radius?
JMD's method. Zoom in to arc. Draw your two lines. Cursor will indicate when you are on arc. Copy then paste one of the lines, rotate 90* and then extend that line with corner grab and ctrl key. Repeat for other line. Measure one of the lines from arc to intersecting point. Easy enough.....no math, ...

Bill....aside from what Adrian noted, the drawing as submitted would yield a 3/16" rabbet instead of the 1/8" you require.
Could be the same for the dado?

Re: Edges being cut but nothing else
Dingus, Went up to my shop, booted everything up, loaded the toolpath file you posted and it runs like a champ. No problems. I did notice that your safe z is set at 0.25", taking up almost 1/3 of your run time. Personally, I would make it no more than 1/16 inch. If you have a 1/16 or 1/32 inch bit, ...

Re: Can i plane down the area around a photo?
kristenanne, As Ms Wolffe stated, pocket the area around the picture. Bitmap trace the picture, then create a rectangle or whatever at or beyond the extremities of the frame and create a pocket toolpath to remove material to whatever depth you desire. Tool change will likely be required. HTH :D Herb

OLDMAN... I bought one of the rubber roll up keyboards about four years ago. Made a tray to fit it and elevated the rear to a comfortable angle, contact cement to tray and back of keyboard and pressed them together. Been using it for about four years with no problems. It's sealed so sawdust, plastic...

Re: Run time not as calculated
Roy, Playing with your settings is a good way to gain knowledge about the machine workings. Just be sure to make a complete copy of the Mach folder so if things get a little messy, you can rename it back to its original name after renaming the current active copy. And, as stated before, keep a copy ...
