If you can clamp the seat vertically under the CNC spindle with the front edge up you could use the CNC and a profile toolpath to follow the curve. I have that capability but realize it is a rare option for most.

You can map a profile toolpath to a 3D model/object, so if you have a 3D model of your chair seat without the rounded over front edge you could use it and a straight vector with a profile toolpath using a roundover bit mapped to the 3D object. With Danish Oil Finish on it. A little dark, but of all the photos I took it shows cherry wood most like I see it in person.
This one I used straps between the front and back legs rather than the top stretcher and back edge of the top. Less webbing/strap needed.

I looked into roto-hinges and the ones I've seen are too big in diameter for the 7/8" wide and thick legs. Also much more expensive than the binding bolts, pivot bolts and washers used so far.
