Did the bears a couple of years ago, wanted a big one for my own wall for a long time so used 4inch cedar and cut it 4ftx6ft in size, was a long cut non stop, 109 hours using a 1/8 bit.

Leo, I have done some big cuts full table and never run into it, I have played with tool paths that wouldn't complete with ultra small tip size.

Well the reason for 2 was to see how much diff. there was with the step over, one was done at 10% the other at 14% and the only diff is a teeny bit of breakout at 14% otherwise I can;t see any diff. one took 9 hours the other just about 13 hours I just did the finish pass with a very slow start to g...

Thanks Leo, Cowboy I love the oldish look of that wood, I would guess a little sun bleaching would make it a 100 years old quite quick, like old wanted posters,,

Hey Cowboy, think Ive run across you a few times, yes softwoods can be agrivating for breakout and the fuzzies, but this northern slow growth jack pine
seems not that bad.

The dust collection system was over whelmed very quickly, running a 3/4 2.5 long 1/2 inch shanked bit doing the 3 roughing passes, 3/4 inch passes. I ended up using a big floor brush to rake the chips from the table, as there was a rooster tail coming from the bit in one direction. I left the dust c...

Finishing pass + 77.73 hours
