Re: tiling Manager

Not sure if this applies but the x and y zeros have to be in the lower left hand corner. Did that change?

Re: Rather large wall art piece.

Another idea.
Make it a tile project having tiles the size you want to cut. Then only cut that one tile.

Re: Too many fonts

I keep a short Notepad ++ list of my favorite fonts. Organized by the type of fonts with comments. Easy and quick to view.

Re: Wood burn sign look

I haven’t done this.
I might try v carving using a start depth that allows me to burn this v carve after cutting. Use a torch to burn. Then come back over the top to shave off the surface burned areas.

I kind of like the dark color with the lightning. I know you are being as safe as possible. Glad to hear that.

Re: Fonts (Typesets) suggestions

I purchased Milkstore font bundle and use it often, including the script.
Also on my list for what you described is Freehand 581 BT, it has pretty wide vectors separation.

Re: How to create Tendons?

I’d do similar to Joe but would design the two sides having Z zeroed on the same side. So side A may be cut with z set to the spoil board. Side B would have Z set to the top of the board.

Re: Start roughing at a lower depth

Along the same line of thinking....

Set material thickness at 7.001
Set a pocket depth of 0.001 (assumes you can cut this 0.3 depth in one pass)
Then continue with your roughing pass and finish pass.

If you need more than one pass, maybe this won't work for you.

Re: A simple way to make inlays

Bud,
I think you answered your own question correctly. I have done the same with my 90 degree insert. I learned it is not the best tool for inlay work. Just my opinion.
