How to create Tendons?
I need to create 1' long Tendons in a number of 2x4's that have been jointed and planned to the same dimensions. After cleaning up the 2x4" I will measure the boards' width and depth. I would like to use these dimensions to create the tendons. Each tendon is to be 2.5" x 0.5" and 1.0" long. I want t...

Re: PolyLine from XY data
I'm having trouble installing Paul Rowntree's CSV gadget. I tried following the instructions in Rowntree's TreeSoft CSV.pdf file. I down loaded CSV 20130717 and unzipped it. I then copied two *.lua files and the *.htm file to the \gadgets\VCarve Pro 9.0\ folder. However I was not able to find a Post...

PolyLine from XY data
I'm trying to create a vector using the Polyline tool from an array of XY data. Is there a way to do this without entering each XY point? I hope there is a way that I can copy the array and then paste it into something in VCarve Pro 10.

Re: Trace Bitmap 2 Open Vectors
With the closed vectors that I get from Trace Bitmap I created two different toolpaths using Quick Engrave. The first toolpath chose the trace option. depending on the width of the closed vector I got either a thick line or an empty shape. This tool bath timed out at 6 minutes. The second toolpath I...

Trace Bitmap 2 Open Vectors
I am attempting to convert a bitmap to open path vectors, not closed path vectors. I have successfully used Trace Bitmap to convert an image to a set o closed vectors. This works well if I want to create a V-Carve toolpath. However I want to create a set of open vectors and create a profile toolpath...

Re: Pasting LUA into VCarve Pro
Adrian,
Thanks that was the problem! I had just reviewed the gadget video again and noticed the missing space. When I added the space the paste option was activated. I just came back to the forum to post the importance of the space when I saw your post. Thanks again for your support.

Re: Pasting LUA into VCarve Pro
I saw the paste option when I watched the gadget videos on the Vectric website. Creating the LUA files and storing them in the Gadgets folder is a super solution for gadgets that have general usage. The pasting option, if it works, is a great option for a quick, single use gadgets and to learn and e...

Pasting LUA into VCarve Pro
I viewed the LUA videos and tried to paste a LUA script into VCarve Pro, but Paste is not active. The first line of the script is: --VECTRIC LUA SCRIPT. I can paste VCarve Pro objects, and bitmaps into VCarve, but when I have copied some text, even from Notepad++, copy is not active. What have I mis...

Zoom to Fit Question
When I click "Zoom to Fit" the project resizes, but does not fill the screen. It is about 2/3 the size it should be. I have attempted to delete any stray vectors that are outside the active area, but "Zoom to Fit" still resizes to small. When I created the project I set the job dimensions to 36" x 3...
