space shuttle
I have had Cut2d for some time and due to my machine being a table top I was limited to small projects (small signs and puzzles). I recently finished a larger machine and have been having fun learning its limitations (as well as mine). Well my daughter is a band director here in Indiana. She asked m...

Re: Chicago Bears Custom Sign for Friend
Nice work on that sign, though I am suprised that a machine up north in your part of the country would actually run a division opponents logo. Whats next a White Sox sign.

Re: Cannot generate Toolpath - file attached
The three node connecting buttons are not available in cut 2d. They are only in aspire and VCP. What you will have to do is like tim says and join open vectors or while you are in node editting, right click. Near the bottom of the pop up menu is an option to close vectors. That will give you the thr...

Re: Tool won't fit vectors
Actually, I don't see the word shank anywhere so I don't assume this. I look at it as measuring over the flutes of the cutter. I guess by looking the picture one can assume what you're thinking though. Maybe the dimension witness lines should be shown down at the bottom instead of the top of the cu...

Re: Litho depths
Thanks Bill I am going to give a 60 deg a try this weekend. Norm I just got a 10 inch craftsman bandsaw this week. Its used but in great shape. I am not sure how true it is yet. I guess there is only one way to find out. If it not too bad I will surface it before cutting. Let you know everything goe...

Re: Litho depths
Bill I did set my zero to the bottom of the material and cut a pocket .25 deep with an endmill to ease some of the ball mill cutting. The results using HDPE are ok, but I expect a lot more when I graduate to corian. Norm Thanks for the idea of splitting the board into 2 pieces. I am going to set up ...

Re: Litho depths
Thanks for the reply mike. That helps clear my head. I have been playing with the settings and just about have it to that shallow for the light area now. Yeah I only was using the HDPE for practice. There are to many threads about corian for me not to use on regular projects once I get everything fi...

Re: Litho depths
I have read the PDF and still have the same question - What is the Carving Max Depth? I know the the tool set up determines the depth of each pass the tool will make and I understand that with thicker material multiple passes need to be made. The video did mention that lithos Carving Max depth is al...
