Our Lady Of Guadalupe
Hi!! First of all, let me introduce myself, My name is Juan Manuel and im from Mexico, although im only 26, i love CNC and whatever it involves, compared to all of you in this forum im in still in diapers, i´ve seen the kind of work you all do, and wow! it amazing!
OK, to the main subject, a while ago i bought "Our Lady Of Guadalupe" model from vectorart3d http://www.vectorart3d.com item #50140 and decided to give it a try, so i carved it, i dont know what the wood´s name in english is, but in spanish its called "Banak"
Here it is...

Sure Mick!
The paint job was mostly done with acrilic paint, i first sealed the wood with some glue and water LOL, then i applied the paint with Cotton balls (for green and the middle red zones, actually green isnt only green, there is a first layer of dark yellow, one layer of orange, and finally green) for the gold i used a regular paintbrush as well for the rest, the stars are Swarovsky insertions (you can get this in every Nail Supply Store) that i stole from my mom (she has nail art hobby) lol, and basically that was it, Oh! and afterall, a layer of sealant or sealer (excuse my english, i didnt study, i learned watching movies lol)
