Here is my try at the leaf tray

Post by leehound »

I had some HI-MAC (corian like material) left over from my kitchen countertops. So here is my leaf tray. It took a bit of sanding, but the work was worth it.

Scott

Can you share the cutter/settings you used for the solid surface?

Thanks

I roughed with a 1/4" end mill. I finished with a solid carbide 1/4" Ball. I don't remember the % stepover, but the steps were .005. I think it took about 3 1/2 hours to cut both side maybe 4, I'm not sure. I really wasn't concerned by how long it took, I just wanted to get a good finish.
