Few signs for the shop!

Post by Greasetattoo »

Here are a few signs I made..

The inlay was my first..
Was having troubles with my machine.
Had a bad backlash problem.
Fixed now, though...

Had some tear out in some of the lettering, but I just filled with some
epoxy..
Used a 1/4" 60 degree Centurion Bit.

The wood is Yellowheart and Aspen.

The second sign was just a test after I fixed the machine.
It is MDF with some Chrome Metal foil..

Greg,
Nice looking signs! And, thanks for the link. I emailed them and asked about spin casting some of their stuff. He said it could be done and told me which ones I needed. I see a whole new line of grips in my future. 8)

Joe,
What is spincasting?
Anything like centrifugal casting?

How can this bare metal stuff be used in spincasting?

Let me and any one else that was wondering know?

Greg,
It is the same procedure. I can make molds up to 12" in Diameter with my equipment.

They (Bare-Metal) also make casting resins:
