I'm like Bob Jr. and have wood ready after planing some sweet gum and wormy red oak. Gave some to my son but still have more than enough for me for Christmas projects. I'll also plane some maple when I get back. All Hurricane Matthew wood.

Beki’s kicking off the 12 Projects of Christmas with this Christmas Hanging Sign! In the video she shows you how she created the sign in Vectric Software, the part being machined and how she finished it! A nice quick and easy project to get started just in time for Christmas!

Any chance you can add a .DXF file of the vectors for those of us without version 10?

Thanks!

It's Day 2 of our 12 projects of Christmas...

Cheese, crackers and other festive nibbles will look amazing when they are served to your guests on this Christmas themed serving board. One of the great things about this is it uses easily sourced cutting boards as a starting point. When the tree is removed it becomes a mini-cutting board and you have 2 areas in the large cutting board to fill with tasty morsels of holiday joy!

Please note: This project is compatible with Aspire, VCarve Pro and VCarve Desktop :D

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me, a Nordic Santa ornament!

This cute Nordic inspired Santa character has been carefully modelled in Aspire (take a look at the video to see how it's modelled)

The ornament has a flat bottom so it can stand upright and is machined using three toolpaths, a roughing toolpath (1/4”End Mill), a finishing toolpath (1/8” Tapered Ball Nose) and a Profile toolpath (1/4” End Mill). Once machined the Santa ornament requires minimal cleanup, just a sand to remove the tabs and lift off any fuzzies.

The part was finished by applying a stain followed by a coat of shellac to accentuate the details!

Download the free project files and watch the full video on how this project was made now: https://www.vectric.com/vectric-communi ... ordicSanta

Happy making!

It's Day 4 of our 12 Projects of Christmas and today's wooden push toy project is courtesy of Todd...

Back when my Father was a boy having a wooden push toy around was quite a luxury. Now you often see them at craft shows and sometimes in luxury giftshops as executive desk toys. This year let’s bring back the wooden push toy either as a child’s gift of as a fine woodworking project for the car enthusiast on your list.

This is a pretty simple project and you can easily swap out the wood for what every you have kicking around the shop. Just be sure to adjust your material setup, tooling and the length of your axels! Have fun making something that is sure to be around the toy room for years to come!

Watch the full video and download the FREE project files here: https://www.vectric.com/vectric-communi ... denPushToy

Enjoy!!
