I think I see the problem. The whats new in ver 10 Vcarve Pro video Becky is
using Aspire. I guess Vcarve pro does not get the texture clip art.

Have you got a folder in the clipart list for it ? you could always check your portal account, i think folders install with the main program but the actual clipart doesn't download automatically from your portal account, you could of course be right & it is something that is aspire only

When you upgraded from 9.5 to 10, after restarting Vcarve and entering your new license, there should have been an option to "migrate" your data from 9.5. I selected all the data and presto! Everything is now in the version 10 association. After that I uninstalled 9.5. I did run into a few file association issues which some files wanted to open 9.5 when it was gone... had to fix them.

The Texture Fill clipart is specifically for Aspire customers because it makes use of the 3D Texture feature which is Aspire only.

Thanks,
Adam

I believe the items that are for Aspire should have been noted in the video.
I did upgrade because of the things I saw in the video. Mike also found
a tool path item that is not in Vcarve Pro 10. So we are to use the software
and try to use things that are not there that was in the video.

Vectric is a great co and I just think they dropped the ball on this.
They could have noted the items not in Vcarve or made 2 videos.

Thank You
Don

There are three videos from what I can see. An Aspire one, a VCarve Pro one and a VCarve Desktop one. The former is linked from the Aspire forum and the latter two from the VCarve forum.

Hi Don,

We necessarily demonstrate each feature in product-neutral pre-release software but we absolutely *should* only show features that are present in the relevant product that we are trying to describe. In this case we have made a mistake and included this Aspire only feature in the VCarve Pro & VCarve Desktop videos. Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will temporarily remove these videos while we correct them.

If you feel this was a critical part of your decision to upgrade Don, please drop us a line at support@vectric.com with a reference to this post and we can revoke the licence and issue you a full refund.

I'd like to take the opportunity to emphasise for any subsequent readers of this post that the Trial versions of the software are our principal way of evaluating the feature-set of each of our products and we strongly encourage everyone to download and test the functionality fully before purchasing - especially on the basis of a particular feature.

Apologies again,

Edward

Don if you mean Mikes post about using multiple clearance bits with a vcarve toolpath for pocketing then that is a hack/workround that Mike has come up with o allow people to use multiple clearance tools for cutting a pocket. It is not an aspire feature that Vcarve doesn't have.
Neither Aspire or Vcarve have multiple large area clearing tools for pocket toolpaths

And just to amplify Martin's message, Mike's hack will work in either VCarve or Aspire.

No you will not hear from me you are not giving me my money back and I am not giving the software back lol
Just the add in of Photovcarve is good for me plus all the other improvements.

AS to the multiple cutting tool paths I did read about mike work around. That is good for both programs.
