boundry selection problem

Post by scotttarnor »

New guy here ! I am trying to create a 3D model. I have imported the file, I select and the vectors turn pink but when I hit the tool it errors stating no components selected, What am I missing?

Thank You
Scott

Please post the .crv file. We can't tell much from the picture. The pink line appears to be a vector around something. Are you trying to import a 3D file? The component list shows that it contains nothing. Did you import a bmp? You cannot create 3D models with Vcarve, but you can use 3D models.

That's not a 3D model. It's a bitmap. I can see from the component list that you have no 3D models.

Thank You! I misunderstood what I had read or watched in a video, I thought I could create a crv file and add it to clipart and create a 3D model. Sorry to have taken your time. I am new to CNC work and only have 3 days under my belt with Vcarve, Lots of learning to do !
Again Thank You for your fast response's!

Welcome to the CNC World.

If you haven't already found them, I'd highly recommend spending a LOT of time working through the tutorial videos on the Vectric website.
