Quick Engrave problem

Post by peteman2167 »

Hi there, I have Aspire 9.517 and I'm trying to use quickengrave with my laser (endurance 10+W).

When I first tried it things worked and previewed properly. Somewhere along the way something has happened to break the quickengrave toolpath for me.

The only thing I can think of is I installed PicEngrave Pro 6 to demo it.

I took some screen shots for people to see what I'm trying to do.

Someone please help!

Could you post the actual file? It's a lot easier to diagnose problems like this with the file rather than pictures.

Your actual crv3d file has a stepover of 0.0. I set it to 0.011 (Same as laser tool), and it previews OK. You might want to set the Toolpath Color to black for the preview. You might also consider changing the crosshatch angle to something like 45 degrees.

Thanks for the help!

I downloaded your file and tried to preview it. This is what I get.

I tried another design and although it didn't preview properly it did engrave properly with the laser.

Change the Preview Simulation Quality on the Toolpaths menu. It looks like you have it set too low.
