It says "Dome_Dish"
So I'm assuming that they can be either.
How do you convert a dome to a dish?

Hi Jan,
Place the dome of your choice into your project, then change the Merge property to “Subtract”. You will usually need to add a Zero Plane as well, to avoid “”chatter” around the edge of the dish.
The Vectric video tutorial with the Horse head in a dish describes the process very well. Go ahead and watch that if you are not familiar with the steps already.

Gentlemen,
I don't see that option in the properties.
What tutorial are you referring to?
I have Vcarve desktop 9.517
Thanks very much for your help.

Re: domes_diahes
Jan,
The video shows using Aspire to create the dome/dish. Of course, you will be using a pre-made dome instead.
You can change the Merge property by right-clicking on the model name in the Model tree and choosing the Merge property you want from the pop-up menu, or by selecting the model and click on the Wrench (properties) icon to make changes to the model.
