Puffing Devil
This model locomotive is based upon the very first steam locomotive ever created. This was invented by Richard Trevithick in Cornwall, England in 1802, and was given the nickname of "Puffing Devil"
It was constructed from Clayton Boyer plans.
I exercised artistic as well as historic license by Painting in John Deere colors and adhering rubber tires to the wheels.
The boiler section is made from 5 sections of 3/4" wood with center cut out to accommodate the electric motor, battery switches etc.
I also have a model railroad smoke generator to provide realistic smoke puffing from the stack.

Re: Puffing Devil
Pine for the boiler, Maple for the wheels and most everything else is Plywood. (Neoprene for the tires)

I love old steam engines and this one is a beauty for sure.
If you do a video I would love to see it as well.

The "Hitch in it's get along" has been eliminated. One of the pitman arms was hitting the brass axle
