endurance laser

Post by prevel »

Does anyone have any first had experience with the endurance laser and or endurance laser control box? My new laser showed up and I am having some difficulty getting it to work correctly. I am sure it's my fault but would like a second opinion. I have tried the face book support group for the brand and didn't have any luck. Thank

You may need to explain in a bit more detail what you are having problems with, don't know if screenshots would help.
There are a few people on the forum with them as I found this post with a search, there are other posts as well so a search might help

Thanks Mobius. I was in a rush yesterday and on my phone with bad service so I couldn't be more specific. I am trying to get my lase with work with PWM signals from mach3. I know my TTL input on my laser box is good because when I put my laser in TTL mode and use a 1.5 volt battery on the TTL wires my laser fires.

I have Mach3/ess/c10 breakout board combo. I am using pin 16 of my C10 for PWM. Here are my settings.

When I hook my Hantek oscope to pin 16 on the C10 I get no PWM.
I am sure it's a setting I have missed or at least I hope it is. Thanks

Ok so I had a semi bad C10 board which has been fixed. So now I am able to use my m3 and m2 commands to turn the laser on and off with but I need to be able to use my m11 and m10 commands but I am unable to get this to work. Do I put the output number that I used in the outputs tab of the ports and pins? or do I put the pin number the spindle is hooked to? I feel like I am getting close .

We got this working. Was just missing one itty bitty check box in the ESS config page.

So as I understand it Mach3 is to slow to run pic engrave to engrave photos per pic engraves web site. Is there any alternative to mach 3 that will work with an ess and a c10 breakout board that is fast enough? Should I switch to uccnc and get a new control board? I saw pic engrave has a board you can buy but warns that it can be a chore to get it working.

I am not above using an arduino to convert my step and direction to pwm but had a hard time finding any info on that.
Thanks

UCCNC has a built in laser photo engraving plugin, and dedicated laser pwm output pin.

And their new AXBB-E controller is pretty nice.

Mach 4 will do photos I'm told. I'm in the process of porting my machine over to it. Bit of a learning curve though.
