Pen and Pencil Box
My latest project. The wood is Walnut and the top and bottom are "lip and groove" indexed to fit together. All cut on my Camaster Stinger. For the finish I used two coats of shellac and 3 coats of rattle can spar urethane. My next endeavor is the pen and pencil set to match.

Nicely done.
I really like the raised bead around the lettering and the integral feet on the bottom.

Steve,
very nice, In addition to the feet, the lid looks like its snug too. Very cool, you can make these now customized at will,

Re: Pen and Pencil Box
Thanks to all. It was really a fun project to make. I designed it for the Carvewright a year or so ago but never cut it. Now for the pens and pencils. I've made a few on a standard lathe but I think making them on the recoil lathe may be a bit more challenging. I'm thinking maybe a rope or barley twist design. I started it in Aspire but haven't perfected the details yet.
