Marine retirement gift

Post by basecircle »

Hi everybody well a friend of our's brother retired from the Marine Corps.30 years of service. So I built him something special. It's made from African Mahogany. (very nice to carve.I used my Aspire to put the models together.First is the American flag and three EGA That seem to fade. Then the flag Rising on IWO JIMA. And a nice banner for the engraved brass plate. I put a frame around the plaque. It is 2.5x10x16 in size. A lot of sanding And I put three coat's of satin waterbase Poly. Always go'es on nice.He loved it.And I was proud to make it for him.Hope you like it. Basecircle
