That would be like someone selling a new car for $500.

No, can't be legal.

We have reported this and hopefully it will be removed.

As Gerry implies, this is unfortunately just another thief on the internet.

+1 lol, although not sure if they take action when it comes from someone not associated with the company.

As to the original question well if it looks far to cheap then it's almost 100% sure to be pirate software, happens with lots of programs unfortunately. Personally I won't touch any of it, my reasons are quite simple, I run a business & in the UK one of the Government agencies (think it's customs & excise) have the right to walk in & ask to do a software audit. It's happened to me twice, once was a snap VAT inspection where they went through my accounts as well & the other time was just auditing software. Both different business names & years apart

When you see bootleg software on an eBay site you can flag the listing using the Report Item link that is at the top of the item description section.

You can then answer the questions on why you are reporting this item.

Problem is they completely ignore it. I've reported many, many listings over the years for all sorts of dodgy dealings including pirated software like this and not a single one has ever been removed. I've even phoned them when it was businesses that were taking money away from mine by ripping people off and all they say is that they can't talk about other sellers only your own listings.

We are now part of Ebay's VeRO program so we can report the sellers and get the listings removed. It did take a long time to get to this position though. Previously just using the 'Report' button it was ALWAYS ignored unfortunately.

yes they don't listen to the unwashed public. I've had some unauthorized product removed by contacting the legal counsel of the company about it. Lawyers they will listen to. cheers!

Took a look at it last evening. Sheesh.

I am running v4.5 and of course it is very tempting, for all of about .2 seconds.

This person(s) is quite clever, their verbiage makes it sound as if the software must be activated legally.

"- If you do not intend to follow necessary activation procedure, please, do not buy this item."

Uh, huh. Then why would someone pay them $21.49 and then have to pay Vectric the license or upgrade fee when they could just download the software from Vectric and save $21.49?

I am thinking though, that Vectric should offer all us old folks an AARP/Senior citizen discount! Darn kids, trying to take our Social Security all the time! (that was a funny).

Edit: I am with Martin on this one. Ebay does not seem to have any reason to remove listings. It is all about their profits. I used to love eBay, about 15 years ago, had real people really auctioning items off. Now, it is so cluttered with "importers" it is almost impossible to find a real auction item.
