This project adds some humor and whimsy with a choice of several silhouette-style ”critters” to stow your cell phone on a shelf, bedside table, desktop or any other convenient location you wish!
The silhouette outlines were customized and edited in the Vectric VCarve software to be suitable for supporting most cell phone sizes.
The project samples are made from clear pine left natural with a clearcoat finish. You can opt to stain or paint the critters, or cut the parts from contrasting woods. There are lots of finishing possibilities!
A few of the software features used while designing this project included the Trace Bitmap, Drawing and Node editing tools, Snapping features, Boundary Create, Interactive Trim (scissors tool), Measure Tool and the Rotate Tool.

Re: Free Project - Critter Phone Stand
Been making cell holders for a couple of years now.
This is my favorite one.
"The Thinker" made from 1/2 red oak, clear finish.
I have about 25 different designs.

Re: Free Project - Critter Phone Stand
This is my favorite phone holder. The idea was not mine, I saw it somewhere and redesigned it.
