A simple box I wanted to share that I made with my Axiom machine and Vcarve pro.

Great looking box. I made a ribbon box a few years back but used a scroll saw. I like you method much better.

Two furniture/craft things that never quite thrill me: striped wood projects (esp. turned bowls) and glass tops for tables.

I now have at least one example of a striped wood project that uses the stripes integrally to the idea. Thanks! and good work.

Now if someone can do a glass topped table where the glass doesn't just look arbitrarily applied I'd be happier.

That looks great, thanks for sharing

Have you drawn that from scroll saw plans?
Can't help thinking I have seen something along the same lines & scroll saw plans popped into my head

Thanks everyone, for all of the complements. Martin....I saw something in a book that was similar, done with a scroll saw and decided to try making one with my CNC. I first sketched out the ribbon pieces with pencil and then scanned my drawing into the bitmap in VCarve and was able to develop my tool paths. I get lots of ideas from the internet, books or things that I see in stores.
