Sapele grips

Post by Mike-S »

New grips for my Sig P938.
Double sided carve with alignment pins; eight tool paths. 84 minutes to cut.
Very little sanding off the machine, natural Minwax stain, 3 coats Rustolium Triple Thick poly finish.

Very nice! Did you create the model?

I've been wanting to make a pair for my PM9

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks.
Yes, basically a two-rail sweep with a tilt to make the butt end thicker.
Grips for a PM9 would be a challenge. I have a CM9 and it looks like most of the grip is molded into the frame--no removable scales.

Nice work.
Yep, most firearms these days from what I have seen use molded grips.

Mine came from the factory with real rosewood grips. They are so pretty I just didn't want to mess with them.
