3d carving

Post by watsonswords »

This customer came to me to create a sign for their address with the lake by their house. She gave a drawing with what she had in mine. I asked Michael Mezalick to design a 3D image in Aspire for me. He did a great job! This is the final product fully painted and clear coated with Moden Masters MasterClear Supreme. It measures 18" X 24" X 1.85" carved in Spanish cedar. I used a .357" endmill, .25 ball nose, v60. The Mountain is Mt. Rainier in Washington and the Lake is Lake Bonney, USA. Tom Watson

I did a sign for my neighbor a few years ago, which is almost of twin to yours. The view could of came from the same area. He told me that he did some of the color in the mountains from color pencils.

Good job on yours.
